Founded by two commercial Real Estate Agents in Manhattan; George & Constantine, with the sole purpose of preserving affordable housing in New York City. The company came about when its co-founder, discovered he was being overcharged for his rent-stabilized apartment. Pertinent information was not easily accessible even to people familiar with real estate rules and regulations which got them thinking that something had to be done. It quickly became clear that there was a lack of basic knowledge regarding tenants’ rights. A combination of extensive research and experience with rent stabilization led to an innovative idea – Rent Regulators.
